Summer 2015 Beauty Ideas

Sometimes less is better. This was the case for many of the Spring/Summer 2015 collections, where models displayed effortless looks using minimal makeup and simple hairdos. This summer you definitely don’t want to get caught in an embarrassing situation like having super-sticky lipstick or even worse having your foundation melting off your face. Take a glance at the beauty found throughout this seasons shows.

Instead of using foundation swap it with a nice and light BB cream which will not only cover small blemishes, but will also serve as sunblock; without it smelling like actual sunscreen. If you still have visible blemishes that you are insecure about you are welcome to add a small amount of powder foundation to the area for the extra coverage. To stop any problems you encounter with a shiny T-Zone blotting paper is your answer. Blotting paper will eliminate any unwanted shine and you’ll be able to do any touch-ups after you use it.

If you have visible redness in or around the cheek area after applying a BB cream try adding some blush which will not only camouflage the redness, but will ultimately end up brightening your face. If you want to sculpt and accentuate certain areas of your face add some bronzer to the top of your forehead, and on your cheekbones and jawline.

Michael Kors Collection

Lets not forget about our eyelashes. During the sizzling summer season it’s best to go with a water-proof mascara which will prevent you from having any smudges. When it comes to eyeshadows the choice is up to you, but remember to ditch the dark colors during the spring and summer seasons. That means no dark smokey eyes, in contrast lean to more neutral or lively colors. The same goes with goes with lips you can give them a “look at my lips” feel by using any pinks, corals, or reds. Alternatively, a lip balm will suffice this summer because with its added SPF and moisturizing benefits you just cant go wrong.

This seasons hair forecast calls for simplicity. Stop damaging your hair by using heat tools and start embracing more laid back do’s like your natural hair type, beach waves, braids, and various half-up half-down styles. Now if you want a more polished look a sleek high or low pony tail will do the job, except this will require a straightener depending on your hair type. I’ll soon put a link here to a post I will publish of my beauty recommendations which go along with this.

Styling Gladiator Sandals

It looks like this summer you’ll be seeing many fashion conscious individuals wearing the “Gladiator Sandal.” This ancient sandal, which dates back to 246 B.C., is popular among music festival goers, but was once the go to shoe of gods and goddesses according to Greek mythology. Today we’ll be styling the Thebes Knee-High Gladiator Sandals by Ancient Greek Sandals.

This summer you’ll definitely want to wear something that will help you cope with this unbearable heat so a slip dresses will become your best friends. If the Calypso St.Barths dress down below is not in your price range check out Free People or Urban Outfitters; both offer great quality dresses at lower prices.

To accessorize you should match the color of your sandals to your accessories. In this case the the sunglasses, watch and tote are all black, while the silver necklace nicely complements the black and white found in this outfit.Weekend Style

So who is Ruby Rose?

Ruby Rose has become a hot commodity ever since her appearance in Netflix’s original series, Orange Is The New Black. But you may be wondering what’s so interesting about her? Well for starters Rose considers herself “genderfluid,” meaning she doesn’t consider herself a female or male, but rather neutral. The 29 year old’s androgynous looks, and sleeve tattoos are what make this Australian beauty so captivating. Not only is she part of the season 3’s cast of OITNB, but you might also find her modeling and djing. Rose released a short film about a year ago titled Break Free where she depicts her struggles with gender, as she is seen unveiling her concealed tattoos and binding her breasts. The film has more than five million views, take a look for yourself.
