Chanel Spring 2016 Ready-to-Wear

The most fashionable airport became a one day reality as the Chanel Spring 2016 runway was turned into a plush airport terminal. One would think they were at an airport if they were present, but it was all just a setup staged by the legendary Karl Lagerfeld. Versace Spring 2016 Ready-to-Wear

Donatella Versace described that she wanted to challenge herself, and do something strong. Not straying too far from the Versace image she presented a collection fit for any type of woman. The sexy factor that the fashion house has been known for was definitely present with the mini dresses, chiffon blouses, and the risqué cut-outs. Tommy Hilfiger Spring 2016 Ready-to-Wear

Tommy Hilfiger will want you yearning for the next summer to come soon after you see his Spring 2016 collection. Obviously you can’t create a Caribbean inspired collection without a hint of the iconic: Bob Marley. There weren’t any shirts that had Marley’s face all over them, but the green, yellow, and red colors that symbolize the Rastafarian movement were definitely present. The pieces conveyed a laid-back, bohemian ambient perfect for any summer setting. From the knitted bucket hats, and the crochet tops and dresses, down to the colorful sandals they all provided the prefect blend for a tropical getaway.

Alexander Wang Spring 2016 Ready-to-Wear

This year marked Alexander Wang’s 10th year anniversary, and the designer displayed what he is best known for: his casual-yet-edgy street wear. In attendance were Vogue’s Anna Wintour, and Mary J. Blige, Lady Gaga, and Kanye West among others. A short film was played at the end which took the attendees back to Wang’s very first show.

Some of Wang’s current whereabouts is a collaboration with DoSomething.org, a non-profit which encourages young people by providing grants for projects that make an impact, and the campaign features multiple well known faces in the entertainment industry. He has also teamed up with Beats to bring back Beats by Dre X Alexander Wang, where 90% of the proceeds go to the above organization. And lets not forget about his partnership with Evian, where he made an exclusive bottle packaging which was available at his ’16 show. Now if only he could design the official uniform for the Olympic Games the United States would surely be the best dressed. Don’t you think?

Givenchy Spring 2016 Ready-to-Wear

When fashion week rolls around you can expect Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci to have the front row filled with A-List celebrities. And the Spring 2016 RTW show was no exception. Among them were actresses:Christina Ricci, Hailee Steinfeld, Julia Roberts, Amanda Seyfried, and Margot Robbie. Designers: Vera Wang and Jeremy Scott. Rappers: Kanye West and Nicki Minaj. Models: Doutzen Kroes, Irina Shayk, and Lara Stone; just to name a few. But the stunner of the night was when veteran Victoria’s Secret Angel, Candice Swanepoel, took a fall on the runway, while fellow model Joan Smalls managed to slowly and carefully avoid a mishap while going up and down on a set of stair in a gorgeous black gown. Take a peek at my favorite looks of the collection, and if you want to watch the entire collection click here.
