Styling A Blazer

The Blazer. An article of clothing that’s versatile enough to be worn casually or be dressed up to a formal piece. As I was browsing through the blazer section on Polyvore I came across a blazer that I fell completely in love with from Stylemoi with gold zip pockets and leather paneled zipped cuffs. So I put myself to the task to style this fab find here’s what I came up with. I wanted to create a clean and simple outfit so I chose a MANGO white blouse and dark washed J Brand Jeans. You can never go wrong Jimmy Choo’s so why not add some black pumps and a cute large clutch. Lastly for the final touch I incorporated a gold chained necklace from Michael Kors.Street Style: Blazer

Get The Look For Less: Sarah Jessica Parker

I have loved Sarah Jessica Parker ever since I watched her in Sex & The City as Carrie Bradshaw. So I told myself why not do a look for less on one of my favorite actresses. The items I chose are not exactly like Parker’s but do come close in comparison. This look very casual and perfect for that in between Fall and Winter temperature. I was not able to find a picture of this look with a clear frontal view of her purse, but I did manage to find a purse that resembles the Hermes Birkin Bag which looks totally chic and not at a sky high price.Get The Look: Sarah Jessica Parker

Styling A Houndstooth Blazer

Polyvore gave its users the challenge to style a houndstooth blazer of our choice with our street style taste so I chose this gorgeous Carmakoma Blazer. I styled it with a thin strapped romper. (Lately I’ve found myself wearing rompers all the time, I love them!) After that I decided to go on fully black & white so I chose a Ted Baker handbag, a swank pair of Fendi sunglasses, and some white classy pearls to top the outfit.Houndstooth Blazer B&W

The highly anticipated Alexander Wang for H&M has finally been fully revealed. Before it’s reveal we were only able to catch a few glimpses of the collection as seen on Rihanna during New York Fashion Week last month. But finally what we’ve all been waiting for has finally been unveiled. The collection includes cropped bra tops, sweatshirts, leather joggers, mesh paneled leggings, scuba dresses, parkas, and beanies. Save the date, November 6th, when the collection will land in 250 stores worldwide and online at hm.com. Here are some my favorite looks from the collaboration.

Get The Look For Less: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

Since I first discovered Polyvore well over a year ago I’ve been obsessed with the site. It’s simple and easy to use so be expecting more of my original Polyvore creations to appear here once in a while. My goal with this outfit was to get it to be as similar to Rosie’s at a way more affordable price. I chose a flared tank top over a basic tank top because in my opinion gives it a better look, but my two favorite pieces in this outfit are by far the heeled booties and the handbag.Get The Look: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

Chanel Spring 2015 Ready-to-Wear

The iconic Karl Lagerfeld has worked his magic this time creating his runway into, Boulevard Chanel. The show featured more then eighty looks and even Gisele Bündchen who made her way down the road in a sweater dress. The shows finale was nothing like your ordinary finale. Models lead by Lagerfeld took the street and put on a femenist protest chanting slogans and carrying placards. Here are some of my favorite looks.

The Ugly Trend: Birkenstocks

Lately I have seen so many girls around my school’s campus wearing Birkenstocks ranging in colors from plain black to an ugly mustard yellow color.  And honestly all I think is, “Why would anyone spend around a hundred dollars on clunky ugly sandals?” To make matters worse Birkenstocks have become popular among high end designers who create replicas of these sandals and display them on their runway such as Giambattista ValliCéline, and Givenchy who’s replicas cost range into the hundreds of dollars. These popular sandals have also made their way into celebrities wardrobes and while some do manage to make the sandal look stylish others fail miserably. In all honesty the Birkenstock fad is something that I’m just going to take a pass on; I simply do not find them appealing but that’s just my opinion.
